The Model

The Ferrari 275 GTS

Ferrari introduced the 275 GTS in 1964 alongside the 275 GTB, marking a technical revolution for the marque. For the first time, a road-going Ferrari featured a rear-mounted transaxle and fully independent suspension — engineering drawn directly from the competition cars of the era. Furthermore, at its heart sat the 3.3-litre Colombo V12, delivering performance with a smoothness and refinement that defined the grand touring ideal. Pininfarina designed and built the body, giving the GTS an elegance entirely distinct from its Berlinetta sibling. Moreover, Ferrari produced just 200 examples between 1964 and 1966. Today, the 275 GTS stands among the most refined and sought-after open Ferraris of its generation.

This Example

About this example

This 275 GTS is finished in Yellow over a black interior — a bold and distinctive combination that sets it apart from the more familiar reds and silvers of the era. Furthermore, the yellow paintwork brings out the delicacy of Pininfarina's lines, giving the car a presence that is both joyful and elegant. The car is matching numbers throughout and has covered a low mileage. As a result, it represents an unusually original and characterful example of one of Ferrari's most refined open cars.

In Detail

Under the bonnet sits the 3.3-litre Colombo V12, the engine that defined Ferrari's golden era. It delivers its performance with an effortless, sonorous character perfectly suited to open-top motoring. Furthermore, the cabin reflects the understated luxury of Ferrari in the mid-1960s — black leather, elegant instrumentation and a driving position designed for long journeys in complete comfort. Moreover, with the roof lowered, the 275 GTS offers one of the most complete experiences in the classic Ferrari world: the sound of a V12, the elegance of Pininfarina, and the open road ahead.
