The Model
The Ferrari 599 SA Aperta was conceived as a tribute rather than a product. In 2010 Pininfarina turned eighty, and Ferrari marked the occasion with an open-top 599 limited to exactly eighty examples. Its name honours Sergio and Andrea Pininfarina. Furthermore, Maranello refused to burden the car with a folding roof. It received a lower, more steeply raked windscreen, twin aerodynamic buttresses behind the cabin, and a light fabric top meant only for bad weather. Beneath the bonnet sat the 670 CV V12 from the 599 GTO. Moreover, every example was spoken for after a private viewing at Pebble Beach, before the car's public debut at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. As a result, the SA Aperta stands among the rarest front-engined V12 Ferraris of the modern era.

This Example
This Ferrari 599 SA Aperta has covered just 500 km from new. It is presented in Giallo Modena over a black interior. Furthermore, the triple-layer yellow is one of the most demanding finishes in Maranello's palette, and a striking choice on a car whose every example was specified individually. Ferrari Classiche certification is in place, confirming the car's originality. As a result, this is an SA Aperta in essentially as-delivered condition, and one of only eighty built.

Inside, the black cabin offers a deliberate counterpoint to the Giallo Modena bodywork. It keeps the focus on the driver and on the open sky above. The Ferrari 599 SA Aperta shares its heart with the 599 GTO: a 5,999 cc 65-degree V12 producing 670 CV at 8,250 rpm, paired with the six-speed F1 Superfast gearbox. Furthermore, the car reaches 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and exceeds 325 km/h. With only 500 km recorded, the drivetrain has barely completed its running-in. As a result, the car offers the full GTO-derived experience, exactly as Maranello delivered it.
