The Model
The Ferrari 456 GT marked Maranello's return to the front-engined V12 four-seater, and it did so without apology. Presented in late 1992, it took its name from the displacement of a single cylinder, and its lines came from Pininfarina. Furthermore, beneath the bonnet sat a new 5.5-litre V12 producing 442 CV, enough to carry four people beyond 300 km/h. At launch, that made it the fastest four-seater in production. Moreover, Ferrari offered it with a six-speed manual gearbox, a deliberate statement that this was a driver's car first. As a result, a Ferrari 456 GT for sale today represents one of the most understated and capable grand tourers Maranello has ever built.

This Example
This 1993 Ferrari 456 GT, offered for private sale, is one of the earliest production examples of the model. It is presented in blue over a grey interior, a refined combination that suits the car's discreet character. Furthermore, it has covered 46,000 km from new. As a result, it offers the opportunity to acquire an early 456 GT in its original manual form, from the very beginning of Ferrari's modern V12 grand touring line.

Inside, the grey cabin of this Ferrari 456 GT offers genuine space for four, with leather seats and a driver-focused dashboard that never lets you forget the car's purpose. The open-gated six-speed shifter sits at the centre of it all. Under the bonnet, the 5,474 cc 65-degree V12 produces 442 CV, sending power to a rear-mounted transaxle for balanced weight distribution. Furthermore, the car reaches 100 km/h in just over five seconds. Moreover, the V12 pulls with remarkable smoothness from low revs to the redline. As a result, the 456 GT combines long-distance comfort with genuine Ferrari performance.
