1999 Lamborghini Diablo GTR

Number 9 of 30 examples built.

Period Lamborghini GTR Supertrophy race history.

An extraordinary track-focused machine.

The Diablo GTR

Lamborghini launched the Diablo in 1990. It replaced the legendary Countach and pushed performance further still. Over the following decade, the car evolved through several variants. The GTR was the ultimate expression. It used a 590 PS 6.0-litre V-12 and a five-speed manual gearbox. Furthermore, its body was almost entirely carbon fibre. Inside, a single seat and six-point harness replaced any comfort. A vast rear wing kept the car stable at speed. In total, Lamborghini built just 30 examples.

09 of 30

Lamborghini delivered this example in France in December 1999. It carries number nine of thirty. Subsequently, it competed in the Lamborghini GTR Supertrophy in 2000 and 2001, building genuine period race history. Today the car presents in yellow, a striking colour that suits its aggressive character perfectly.

A Serious Collector’s Machine

Only 30 GTRs left Sant’Agata. Moreover, fewer still carry documented Supertrophy history. This example is therefore among the most significant Diablos in existence. It is as thrilling as it is rare.
