Lamborghini Diablo GTR

Lamborghini launched the Diablo in 1990. It replaced the legendary Countach and pushed performance further still. Over the following decade, the car evolved through several variants. The GTR was the ultimate expression. It used a 590 PS 6.0-litre V-12 and a five-speed manual gearbox. Furthermore, its body was almost entirely carbon fibre. Inside, a single seat and six-point harness replaced any comfort. A vast rear wing kept the car stable at speed. In total, Lamborghini built just 30 examples.

Lamborghini delivered this example in France in December 1999, finished in Grigio Antares. It is number nine of the thirty GTRs built. Subsequently, the car competed in the Lamborghini GTR Supertrophy in 2000 and 2001, accumulating genuine period race history in one of the most exclusive one-make series ever staged. Today the car presents in yellow, giving it a striking and purposeful presence that suits its track-focused character.
